BRIDAL STYLING
Styling Christine was a breath of fresh air . Chrissy, a Sierra Leonean bride, was as shy as she was graceful—a woman of understated elegance who truly appreciated the art of quiet luxury. She was getting married to Olatunji, a Nigerian man who wanted nothing but the best for his bride, I was given the rare freedom to craft an unforgettable experience that reflected both her heritage and her journey as a new Nigerian bride.
We started with two bridal shower looks. The first was a blue structured dress, delicately hand-beaded, which beautifully highlighted her sophisticated yet modest nature. The second was an off-white short dress adorned with HD floral details, a playful yet refined nod to her soft femininity.
For her traditional Nigerian wedding, Chrissy wore several stunning looks. The day began with a nod to her Sierra Leonean roots: an all-white Chantilly lace gown mixed with tulle, symbolizing purity and grace. This was followed by an extraordinary transformation into a bold, black, structural gown hand-beaded by Nichole Stylish, paired with a black aso-oke gele. This look turned heads—the world is still recovering from its striking beauty and innovative design.
As evening fell, Chrissy embraced her new role as a Nigerian bride, donning a stunning mix of burnt orange and pink aso-oke, intricately woven and beaded to perfection. This masterpiece was not just a gown but a celebration of her new chapter.
The grand finale of her white wedding was a lace lover’s dream, flawlessly executed by Yves Elizabeth. Every detail of the lace and silhouette spoke to Christine’s timeless elegance. To close the night, she wore a breathtaking gold hand-beaded gown, also by Yves Elizabeth—a radiant symbol of the preciousness of the love she and Olatunji shared.
Chrissy trusted me entirely, and in turn, we created magic that seamlessly blended cultures, traditions, and her innate sense of grace. Each piece of her wardrobe was more than just a look—it was an experience, a story, and a reflection of the woman she is.
